Upcoming Webinar: Mitigating Challenges Related to Waterproofing Below-Grade Structures

As cities expand and evolve, there is increasing demand for new buildings and structures. With many desirable building sites already occupied, this growth is pushing development underground, particularly in congested urban areas.

In this complimentary one-hour webinar, architect Doug Stieve and engineer Remo Capolino will explore the risk-to-reward planning strategies for various building uses and waterproofing methods. They will specifically focus on blindside waterproofing (property line waterproofing) and the rising use of shotcrete as an interior liner placed against blindside waterproofing.

By the end of the webinar, you will be able to:

  • Identify the performance characteristics and limitations of various blindside waterproofing types
  • Explain how property line shoring can affect the performance of waterproofing
  • Describe how shotcrete can affect the performance of waterproofing
  • Explore ways to minimize risks with proper waterproofing design and installation

This is the second part of a three-part series on subgrade waterproofing. Watch part one now.

There will be plenty of time for your questions during the presentation. Attendees are eligible for one American Institute of Architects (AIA) HSW Learning Unit.
