Manfred Kehrer Receives ASHRAE Distinguished Service Award
Manfred Kehrer, Senior Associate in our Northbrook headquarters office, has received the Distinguished Service Award from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), recognizing his “outstanding commitment to the Society through years of faithful service, professional involvement, and meaningful contributions to ASHRAE programs and activities.”
Since 2011, Manfred has been an active participant in ASHRAE Technical Committees 1.8 (Mechanical Systems Insulation), 1.12 (Moisture Management in Buildings), 4.4 (Building Materials and Building Envelope Performance), and Standard Project Committee 160, working to advance numerical calculation of heat and moisture transfer in building enclosures. In his work at WJE, Manfred has been integral to the development of our hygrothermal laboratory and computational fluid dynamics capability for analysis of building enclosures.
